Poetry Workshop
A guided time of writing where we explore the process of tea making and consider how it might inform the way we process our own pain. I’ve always loved tea, but in the past two years I’ve been able to dive deeper into the world of tea. As I learned about the process of tea while also trying to process pain from my past, I was struck by the recurring themes between the two.
Teas go through a multitude of steps that include pruning, shading, wilting, bruising, firing, waiting, but its end product is a masterpiece, a thoughtfully crafted work of art. In this series, we will create space to consider what stage you may be in and the masterpiece you are becoming.
“The Tea We Became” is an invitation to put pen to paper, and explore your pain through the redeeming and restorative practice of poetry.
